Job Summary :
This position requires extensive contact and collaboration with medical staff, nursing service, and non-hospital personnel. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served; also demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his / her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge and sensitivity to cultural and religious beliefs of patients, visitors and staff. Maintains all department and hospital records and enters accurate information into the electronic health record. Fulfills professional responsibility in dispensing, procurement, control, and consultation involved with pharmaceuticals. The Pharmacist must possess and utilize a knowledge base in medication for children (pediatric), adolescent, and geriatric patients to evaluate orders, make recommendations for therapy and manage therapy through protocols. Supervises and directs support personnel. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications : Education / Skills
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
Work Experience :
Preferred but not required.
