Ryder is hiring a CDL A local / regional dry van driver in Pearl River, LA . A local truck driving job typically consists of transporting freight within a 200-mile radius, allowing the driver to complete their deliveries and return home the same day. Compensation :

  • Average Weekly Pay : $1,400+

62 CPM - $1.35 per mile based on length of trip with 1,200-1,700 miles per week

  • Solo Stops Pay :  $24.00 per Stop with 2 - 4 Stops per Day
  • Per Diem Pay : $50.00 per night with 1 night out per Week possibly
  • Bonuses

    • Safety Bonus : Pays You $300 Four Times A Year, Every Quarter

    • Home Time, Route & Schedule :

  • Home Daily
  • Dispatch is between 9 : 00PM - 3 : 00AM
  • 6 - day work week with 1 full day off during the week; Drivers work weekends & holidays
  • Route : 500 mile radius of Pearl River, LA
  • Touch – Grocery Items - Driver will assist with unloading at stores; strapping and securing load before leaving each stop
    • Equipment :
  • Day Cabs
  • Reefer 53’
  • Manual pallet jack
  • 24 / 7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide

    • Qualifications

  • Must have a valid CDL A License
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle

    • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR

  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and / or procedures
  • Must live within 30 miles of Pearl River, LA
