Overview Aug 26, 2025 - Aequilibrium Software Inc. is hiring a remote Senior Front-End Web Developer. Location : Canada.

Aequilibrium is seeking a Senior Front-End Web Developer with expertise in building financial services web applications on digital banking platforms like Central1 Forge, Backbase, Plumery, Temenos, or VeriPark.

You are passionate about code and a maestro regarding pixel-perfect UI development. You work with enterprise-level businesses, with tens of thousands+ users visiting the sites, SPAs, and code that you create on a daily basis. You love shipping web applications and supporting them in production, and consulting with clients to bring clarity to challenging enterprise environments. You’ll work shoulder to shoulder with our teams, partners, and clients.

What You Will Do Develop, optimize, and maintain responsive web applications leveraging front-end development using HTML5, CSS3, JS frameworks, and integration with 3rd party applications

Work on complex enterprise solutions / applications in the front end using React 19 + TypeScript

Build on top of applications developed with technologies such as Spring Boot, Spring Security, Web MVC, and using application servers such as Tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic or JBoss

Work with SOAP and RESTful web services using tools such as XML, JSON and RAML

Identify and communicate technical problems, processes, and solutions

Perform technical analysis, design, coding, and implementation of large-scale object-oriented application

Collaborate with the team to assist in the development of logical specifications

Integrate modern solutions with legacy systems

Work in an Agile software development environment using methodologies such as Scrum

Prepare reports and other documentation as required

Skills and Qualifications 6+ years of experience as a Front End Web Developer in a tech professional services / digital agency

Experience with Central1 Forge, Temenos, VeriPark, Plumery, or Backbase digital banking platforms is a big plus

Consultative, resourceful, proactive, comfortable interacting with clients to solve their business challenges

Proficiency in React 19 and modern TypeScript

Experience with React Router v7 (SSR) for server-side rendering and routing

Strong knowledge of Node.js 20 + Express 5 in a full-stack environment

Familiarity with Vite 6 as a build tool and modern frontend tooling ecosystem

Experience with Firebase Authentication (or other authentication providers)

Strong grasp of UI / UX implementation using Radix UI and data visualization with Victory Charts

Experience with Google Maps API integration

Solid understanding of i18next for internationalization / localization

Strong knowledge of form validation & schema validation (e.g., Zod )

Hands-on experience with end-to-end testing using Playwright

Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices

Git and Gitflow

Ability to write clean, readable, maintainable code

Teamwork and experience performing peer code review

Soft Skills Ability to learn fast and ready to make a big impact

Understand what it means to be a consultant

Teamwork, reliability and positive attitude

Great interpersonal skills (aka clients love you!)

Ability to handle working on multiple projects or tasks and keep them all under control

Passionate about technology and using it to help solve business issues

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Making recommendations from a development perspective for practical solutions, time estimates and overall feasibility means being comfortable standing your ground

Nice to Have Experience integrating AI / ML SDKs (e.g., OpenAI , Google Vertex AI , Vercel AI SDK )

Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and deployment (e.g., Vercel, Firebase Hosting, Docker)

Understanding of web security best practices (authentication, authorization, XSS / CSRF prevention)

Familiarity with Agile development workflow and Git-based collaboration

Strong sense of UI / UX collaboration with designers and product managers

Experience with or knowledge of Agile Methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban

Education A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent)
