About The Position

Job Title : Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Tech

Profession : Radiology / Cardiology

Specialty : Echo Tech Cardiac Sonographer Pediatrics

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 8 Hours (08 : 00 - 16 : 30)

Experience : Minimum of 1 year of Pediatric echocardiography experience or 6 months of experience with 100% Pediatric patient population.

License : Registered Cardiac Sonographer preferred.

Certifications : RDCS in Pediatrics required.

Must-Have :

• Minimum of 1 year of Pediatric echo experience.
• Minimum of 6 months of Pediatric Echocardiography experience.

Description :

The Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Tech is part of the patient care team.

The role involves the care of patients undergoing cardiac echo studies on an inpatient and outpatient basis.

Daily caseload averages 4-5 sessions.

Candidates must have experience with 2-D and 3-D echocardiography.

Additional skills required include Doppler techniques and obtaining 12 lead EKG / ECG.

Experience with pediatric acute care and outpatient settings is preferred.

Graduates of an accredited echocardiography training program or those with equivalent experience in pediatric or adult echocardiography are encouraged to apply.

Certifications in various echocardiography modalities are also valuable.

A minimum of 3 years of pediatric echocardiography experience in all modalities is highly preferred.
