job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProvide real-time Haryanvi English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and asylum proceedings. Interpret accurately, neutrally, and with professionalism in immigration and legal contexts. Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with USCIS / DHS interpreter standards. Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent / surge requests. Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and QA audits. Native or near-native fluency in Haryanvi and English (knowledge of Hindi is a plus, as many speakers are bilingual). 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, asylum, community, or government preferred). Strong understanding of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness. Excellent telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure. Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3 / Tier 5 clearance. Competitive pay : $30–38 / hour (rare-language premium). Remote work using secure USCIS-approved systems. Paid training and professional development. Steady workload under a federal contract. Opportunities for advancement in quality assurance or linguist leadership.
