Responsibilities Work in a combined OB / GYN and Med / Surg setting within a critical access hospital Assignment includes Labor, Delivery, Postpartum (PP), and Nursery (NSY) care, as well as Med / Surg Average patient census is 10-12 Labor & Delivery nurse maintains a 1 : 1 patient ratio Postpartum / Nursery nurse maintains a 3 : 1 couplet ratio Med / Surg patient ratio is 1 : 4 during days and up to 1 : 5 on nights Primary schedule is 3x12 hour night shifts (19 : 00-07 : 00), with the option for Days / Nights rotating every 3 weeks Works every third weekend No call required Float between OB / GYN and Med / Surg units as census and staffing require Assignment involves delivering direct patient care across various stages of childbirth and medical-surgical cases Team structure supports low patient ratios and cross-coverage between units First-time travelers will be considered for this position Standard holiday coverage may apply Requirements Active MN RN license required Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications are required; NRP may be pending at time of consideration Experience in both OB (including labor, delivery, postpartum, nursery) and Med / Surg is required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624703.
