Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Our flexible options include four 10-hour shifts (Mon-Thurs) with overtime on Fridays. And when the unexpected does arise, we'll work with you to help you be where, and when, you are needed most. Wenger Corporation is seeking a Material Handler to distribute product in a safe, timely manner within and among all assigned areas in a manner that expedites production and contributes to the consistent achievement of established quality and quantity standards. Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

Reviews the week's production schedules for areas assigned in order to plan the best use of available time for production support and anticipate possible bottlenecks before they occur

Confers with production team, Cell Leads on a regular basis to help ensure the highest level of production support possible, making changes in the material handling schedules as directed

Maintains records, lists and notations that are required to complete assigned duties and responsibilities in an accurate and timely manner

Develops and maintains a thorough working knowledge of materials locations, and continually reviews location information or maps as required

Provides direction to others as required or requested on safe, proper methods of loading, unloading and transporting materials

Informs a Cell Lead of questions and / or problems with completing assigned duties, making suggestions to minimize future problems

Complete inventory transactions in business management systems

Maintains accurate inventory locations and qualities and will be involved with the weekly cycle counts

Contributes to a cooperative work effort through performance of assigned duties in an accurate and timely manner

Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested

English proficiency is required for this manufacturing position to ensure safety compliance and fulfillment of operational needs. The candidate must be able to speak, read and understand English in order to follow equipment instructions, understand safety protocols and respond to emergency situations. Strong English skills are also necessary for communicating with team members, supervisors and other departments to ensure smooth production processes and to maintain quality standards.

While performing the functions of this job, the team member is continuously required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear. The team member is occasionally required to kneel, crouch, squat, bend, twist / turn and climb ladder / stairs. The team member is continuously required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate machines, equipment, tools or controls. Team member is continuously required to reach with hands and arms. The functions of the job include occasionally viewing a computer monitor and repetitive motion activities on the keyboard. The team member may continuously be required to lift, move, push / pull up to and over 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Preferred Qualifications :

Knowledge of parts, materials, and material handling processes established for areas assigned typically learned from at least six to nine (6-9) months experience

Skill and ability to work in assigned area(s) under only general supervision

Familiarity with scanning devices

Previous forklift experience with the ability to obtain a valid license through Wenger Corporation
