• Previous Charge Experience : 3 Years
• Patient Ratio Experience : 2
• Epic Charting System Experience Required

Description :

Registered Nurse needed for ICU / CPU.

Must have current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.

Weekend required every other weekend and whenever there is a need on the unit.

On-call availability is as needed.

Floating to other units within scope of practice may be required, depending on the need and census.

The expectation is for all travel nurses to be flexible with floating to different units or within the hospital.

Travel nurses can anticipate a notification of 1.5 hours prior to shift start time in most cases.

A shuttle service is provided if floating is requested.

Patient age groups include adults.

Daily census varies from 16 to 20.

Number of beds available in the unit is 24.

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy.

Patient diagnoses include sepsis, respiratory failure, heart failure, stroke, and surgical cases.

Special procedures in the unit include open heart, thoracotomy, ECMO, and CRRT.

Candidates should possess skills in arterial line management, ventilator management, and central line care / management.

Experience in managing patients with multi-system organ dysfunction / failure is required.
