Overview

Deposit Service Associate - Arlington, 76017

Responsible for daily administration of card operations and card inventory, while meeting credit union, department and personal goals as assigned for satisfying members' financial needs in the areas described below. Maintain thorough knowledge of all card products and services offered by the credit union and ensure compliance with Electronic Fund Transfer Act / Reg E, Reg Z, MasterCard Rules and Regs, as well as Texas Trust policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the card plastic inventory for branches and the mail card warehouse; coordinate disbursement of inventory to branch locations and processing adjustments for branches and the main stock; handle mass reissues due to fraud.
  • Ensure security of all card plastics and keep accurate records of cards within the Central Card vault; audit daily assigned reports including Instant Issue and card operations.
  • Determine card inventory needs based on data provided; initiate card replenishment orders for both instant issue and mail card warehouse; advise management of card production delays.
  • Audit, maintain, and process all returned cards.
  • Review and work daily card activity core system reports and maintain card records.
  • Monitor Card Files, including member-initiated card requests and reissues, for accuracy and transmission; address any exceptions.
  • Monitor third-party processor card activity reports; post journal entries for debit and credit card daily settlements and exceptions.
  • Collaborate with Accounting to ensure timely clearing of items in the general ledger.
  • Responsible for monthly debit card reporting.
  • Monitor debit / credit card mandates and implement process improvements according to mandate requirements.
  • Review and process debit / credit card reward reports and respond to inquiries as needed.
  • Process eOscar share queue daily to ensure disputes are answered accurately and timely in accordance with the FCRA.
  • Verify documents generated for subpoena research and confirm accuracy prior to submission.
  • Serve as second-tier support for members with questions or issues regarding our card rewards program.
  • Responsible for department production tracking and generating department reports as needed.
  • Develop and document new and existing processes.
  • Assist credit union employees and members with all deposit operations inquiries received via phone, email, Teams or KBox request.
  • Serve as a backup for all other functions in Deposit Operations.
  • Maintain a helpful and positive attitude, focus on solutions, and promote a collaborative environment at all times.
  • Comply with established regulations and law requirements.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Minimum one (1) to three (3) years of experience in a financial institution is preferred.
  • Skills, Education And / or Certifications Required

  • High school graduate with equivalent or demonstrated qualifying experience.
  • Preferred knowledge of industry-standard software and systems related to card services.
  • Must be capable of performing in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Requires an organized, detail-oriented self-starter who is able to work independently.
  • Preferred working knowledge of current Windows Office Software.
  • Confidentiality of information and security of records are required.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality.
