About The Position

Job Title : Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse (ICU)

Profession : Nursing

Experience : Must have at least 3 years of prior ICU experience

License : Must have and maintain a current valid unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN) to practice nursing in any state of the United States or its territories

Certifications :

Must maintain current valid certification of the following throughout employment :

Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association, to be completed within six months of hire

Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR), to be completed within six months of hire

National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), to be completed within six months of hire

Must-Have :

Associate Degree in Nursing

Description :

This position is primarily within the Intensive Care Unit and may require floating to other departments as needed.

The role involves providing nursing care to critically ill patients.

The Registered Nurse will perform a variety of responsible nursing procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments.

The nurse will work independently in completing assignments according to doctors' orders and nursing policies.

Nursing duties include the provision of inpatient care and support in a 5-bed ICU to individuals of all ages and their families.

After-hours recovery of postoperative patients, including general surgery, pediatric, and obstetric patients, is also required.

The environment offers a culturally rich community with a mixture of diverse backgrounds.

The medical staff includes various specialists providing comprehensive care to the community.

The nursing staff includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, nurse practitioners, and other nursing professionals.
