We are looking for a highly skilled Controller to oversee financial operations and ensure regulatory compliance for our organization in San Diego, California. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive financial success while implementing effective policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and team leadership.

Responsibilities :

  • Evaluate financial statements, sales reports, and operational data to assess performance and identify opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
  • Coordinate and manage all external and internal financial audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Supervise business activities related to production, pricing, sales, and product distribution to optimize departmental efficiency.
  • Develop and enforce internal control policies and procedures for budgeting, cash management, and accounting practices.
  • Stay updated on organizational policies, federal and state regulations, and current accounting standards.
  • Lead cash management, investment strategies, insurance planning, budgeting, and financial reporting to align with the company’s financial objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations by monitoring legislation, enforcing standards, and implementing necessary actions.
  • Oversee human resources functions, collaborating with external service providers and internal staff to manage HR processes effectively.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities, recommending strategies to safeguard company assets and enhance profitability.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.
  • Proven expertise in analyzing and preparing financial statements with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Solid experience managing financial audits and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to review and implement effective internal controls.
  • Proficiency in cash management and financial planning.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local financial regulations.
  • Leadership skills to manage teams and drive organizational financial strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate across departments and with external stakeholders.
