Tax Accountant

Jr. Tax Accountant

The Tax Accountant handles sales taxes, corporate taxes, and annual reporting. This position is also responsible for maintaining a relationship with our tax consultants, gathering information for yearly tax returns, and tax research as needed. The Tax Accountant will also manage and complete compliance paperwork, coordinating with other departments as needed.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Calculates sales tax due to each state and files / pays prior to the 20th of each month.
• Files / pays Annual Reporting and any additional returns required by states.
• Researches tax questions as required.
• Prepares and mails 1099 forms each January.
• Supports resale certificate processing.
• Maintains Tax Consultant relationship and gathers data needed for tax returns.
• Oversees compliance paperwork.
• Prepares month-end tasks as assigned.
• Prepares year-end tasks.
• Provides support and guidance as directed by Head of Finance.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
