Description :

This position requires a registered nurse specializing in labor and delivery.

The unit is a high-risk labor and delivery setting with 19 beds.

Patient ratios follow ACOG / AWHONN guidelines of 1 : 1 and 1 : 2.

The nurse will be responsible for providing care to antepartum, labor, and postpartum recovery patients.

Experience with advanced fetal monitoring is a plus.

The nurse must be able to scrub for cesarean sections and place internal monitors.

The documentation system used in the unit is Meditech / CPN.

Self-scheduling is available, allowing for desired shift preferences to be submitted for balancing the schedule.

The nurse may be required to float to antepartum or gynecology units as needed.

Attendance policies must be adhered to, as per company-wide guidelines.

Dress code includes appropriate scrub attire and a clean, professional appearance.

Body art should be covered whenever possible, and visible piercings beyond ear lobes are prohibited.
