JOB TITLE : HR Payroll Specialist

LOCATION : Wichita, KS

PAY RATE : $25-30 / hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Type : Contract (Up to 3 months, with potential for extension)

Conversion : Possibility of full-time hire after 90 days

Summary :

Process regular, off-cycle, and adjustment payrolls while ensuring accuracy and compliance with payroll best practices.

Manage withholdings, reconciliations, imputed income, internal controls, and quarter / year-end activities.

Generate and maintain standard and custom payroll reports.

Maintain detailed knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance standards.

Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to employee inquiries.

Demonstrate strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.

Collaborate effectively within a team environment and adapt to change as needed.

Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.

Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

3 7 years of payroll processing experience.

Solid understanding of payroll operations, including reconciliations, withholdings, and reporting.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Experience with Dayforce or a comparable payroll platform preferred.

SAP experience is a plus.

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
