Industrial Sanitation Technician

Deschutes Brewery is currently hiring for a full time Industrial Sanitation Technician ! This position is responsible for the sanitation and cleaning of the production areas of Deschutes Brewery, helping us to safely produce damn tasty beverages! Reporting to the Maintenance Manager this role will follow a detailed cleaning and sanitation schedule that will include interior production areas, exterior building and grounds, equipment inspection and maintenance of cleaning tools. As part of the maintenance team this position may also assist with other maintenance projects as needed.

This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule that may include days, nights, weekends and overtime as needed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities :

• Clean tank exteriors, interior roof areas, overhead piping, ceiling surfaces, sumps and drains, floors, outside grounds, docks and other areas assigned
• Follow a detailed, written Cleaning & Sanitation Schedule
• Inspect and evaluate safety equipment and the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work required
• Records the completion of each cleaning and sanitation task in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Aids in creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for proper sanitation and cleaning procedures
• Supports in the training of other co-owners in proper sanitation and cleaning procedures
• Maintains cleaning and sanitation tools and manages inventory of supplies
• Operating vehicles such as Forklift, Scissor lift, Boom Lift, Box Truck, and Work trucks
• Other duties as assigned
