Summary :

The Senior Director - Communication and Public Affairs role directs the development of strategic and integrated internal communications, community engagement and public relations strategy across MaineHealth in alignment with the overall system strategy. This role is accountable for the design and growth of communication systems to support the mission, vision and business objectives of the region and the system, allocating resources to successfully achieve communication objectives. The Senior Director develops and executes communication strategies and plans and works closely with executive leaders to ensure alignment and effective messaging across the organization. The individual also works in conjunction with system marketing and communications to inform about operational transformation, digital and brand plans and to communicate those plans and their impact on internal consumers.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education : Bachelor's degree required, Masters a Plus with an emphasis in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations or related field preferred.
• License / Certifications : N / A
• Experience : Ten years of progressive experience in marketing, planning, communications, public relations, market research, or equivalent combination of education, training and / or experience in a healthcare setting. Project / process management, account management or related capabilities a plus. Seven years supervisory experience or leading team.
