Commissioning Engineer

Are you passionate about complex electrical systems and thrive in high-performance environments? We're looking for a Commissioning Field Engineer to join our team supporting mission-critical facilities, secure environments, and major commercial and industrial projects across the U.S.

In this role, you'll be responsible for final testing, startup, and commissioning of low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution equipment - including breakers, transformers, switchgear, relays, and motor control centers. You'll play a key part in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable power systems for some of the nation's most advanced facilities.

What You'll Do

Perform commissioning, inspection, and testing of electrical components and systems.

Assist senior commissioning specialists with project coordination and review of electrical deliverables.

Prepare and review electrical sketches, commissioning plans, and data sheets.

Conduct routine electrical calculations and review supplier documentation for compliance.

Work hands-on with electrical apparatus such as switchgear, transformers, protection relays, UPS systems, and power monitoring equipment.

Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards (NETA ATS / MTS, NEC, NFPA 70E, etc.).

Travel locally, regionally, and nationally to customer sites as required.

What You'll Bring

4+ years of relevant electrical experience; OR

Associate's degree plus 2+ years relevant experience; OR

Bachelor's degree plus 1+ year relevant experience; OR

8+ years of experience with a high school diploma or GED.

Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Proficiency in interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.

Valid U.S. work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

OEM-certified field service training.

NETA Level III or IV certification (preferred).

Familiarity with commissioning and maintenance of power distribution systems.
