American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with stroke center and Level I or II experience for an Interventional Radiology position covering both a cancer center and main campus in New Jersey.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital and cancer center settingPatient mix includes interventional radiology procedures and recovery from conscious sedationScrub participation is requiredRNs will cover portable Midline team for midline insertion house-wideAssist with PICC lines during on-call shifts (insertion by PAs)Day shift (4x10 hours), 8 : 00am-6 : 30pmOn-call required 2-3 days per weekFloating between main campus and cancer center connected by pedestrian bridgeUse of specialty equipment such as EKOS+, A-line, and procedural wedge pressuresUses Epic for charting; Epic experience preferredPrimary duties include pre, intra, and post-procedure care in interventional radiology, including conscious sedation recoveryMust float as needed within skillset and provide care based on patient acuityNo block scheduling or special schedule requests accommodated unless approved before bookingHoliday requests for time off are not accommodated; clinicians are expected to work as scheduledLocals are accepted at the same pay rateFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyScrub wear required for procedures18 hours of non-billable modules and 4 hours of Epic training must be completed pre-start and annuallyReferences are required for considerationAll certifications and valid license must be in hand prior to starting\n \n Requirements\n
Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of considerationBLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications requiredMinimum 2 years of experience in a stroke center with Level I or II trauma experience requiredSkills with specialty equipment relevant to interventional radiology requiredED or ICU experience highly preferredReturn staff must have been gone from health system for at least 1 year\n Benefits\n
