Job Family Description

Project management personnel plan, monitor and manage internal projects from initiation through completion. Program management personnel manage programs responsible for the execution of multiple projects or sub-projects. They secure required resources and use formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes. They manage projects to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs.

Discipline Description

In construction project management, individuals are responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of construction services and projects within the organization. They lead teams, manage resources, and facilitate communication among stakeholders to achieve project goals efficiently. Project managers use formal project management tools and methodologies, such as P6 scheduling tools.

Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include :

• Management of scope, schedule and budget for assigned control accounts on the project.
• Implementation of work in accordance with approved authorization(s).
• Management of matrixed employees supporting project deliverables.
• Development and management of risks and opportunities applicable to the project scope.
• Development of variance analysis for assigned control accounts on the project.
• Development and implementation of trends and baseline change proposals (BCPs).
• Management of cost / schedule estimates for new or modified project scope.
• Development of project reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and / or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance.
