The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hiring full-time Greyhound Racing Leadouts to join our team at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia . As a Racing Leadout, you will be responsible for handling and caring for the greyhounds in the paddock and while they are en route to the starting box.

What will you do?

Lead the dogs to the starting box and place them inside

Ensure injured or fallen dogs are safely removed from the track or are going in the correct direction

Perform weigh-ins

Lead the dogs back to the lockout kennel and put them in the correct crates

Physical requirements

A bility to lift and transport greyhounds weighing up to 70 pounds

Ability to run or jog up to 100 yards multiple times per night

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
