JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary of Performance Expectations :
Provides leadership presence to promote a collaborative and collegial work environment among departments. Collaborates with the Administrator on Duty (AOD) to ensure staffing resources are appropriately allocated. Collaborates with department leadership, Professional Development Coordinators (PDC) and Clinical Care Managers (CCM) to provide education and validation of clinical competence. Provides on-going support to staff to ensure issues or concerns are addressed in a timely and efficient manner. Assist department leaders in meeting fiscal goals. Responsible for adhering to CVMC policies and procedures; abiding by the CVMC Nursing Bylaws; and practicing within the guidelines of the North Carolina State Nurse Practice Act.

Birthing Center : NRP within one year of employment date.
NICU : NRP within one year of employment date.
Psychiatry : Non-violent Crisis Intervention within 3 months
Work Experience : Required
Two years of previous nursing experience required Demonstrated leadership potential. Given training and on-the-job experience incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months.
Preferred
Experience as charge nurse and / or preceptor.
