Solid foundation in Progressive Care Unit nursing experience

Ability to care for patients with various acuity levels

Description :

Bedside shift reporting and utilization of AIDET are required for this unit and all nursing units.

Hourly rounding is also expected.

Barcode scanning must be maintained at 95% or higher to be eligible for an extension.

A lower percentage could result in cancellation.

Candidates should possess a solid foundation in progressive care nursing for success in a blended unit.

There will be occasional ICU / PCU patients within this unit.

Registered Nurses will be required to care for all acuity types.

Call may be required as needed.

Floating to other units may be necessary.

The patient ratio is 6 : 1 during night shifts.

Unit details include interdisciplinary support from various services such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

Common patient diagnoses involve medical, cardiac, orthopedic, and general surgery cases.

Candidates must complete certain compliance requirements within set timelines to avoid potential cancellations.

Two references are required, and one must be from a supervisor.

AHA certifications must be completed prior to the start of the position.

Modules must be completed during orientation.

All candidates must adhere to established unit protocols and policies.
