What we are looking for in a Structured Cabling Technician :
- Hands-on experience as a cable technician or in a similar technical role
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals, including switches, firewalls, LAN, and WAN environments
- Strong resourcefulness and a knack for creative problem-solving
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and positive demeanor
- Proven track record in high-traffic, customer-focused environments
- Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service that goes above and beyond expectations
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to a variety of applications, tools, and services
- Consistently demonstrates professionalism in both attitude and appearance
- Awareness of team dynamics and how changes may impact colleagues and customers
What our Structured Cabling Technician's do :
Respond to support requests and provide technical assistance via phone, email, or on-siteInstall, change, and maintain cabling, hardware, software, and network equipmentTest and certify cables and telecom equipment to ensure optimal performanceKeep accurate inventory records and documentation for all work performedUse our incident management system to track service requests, troubleshooting steps, and communicationsFollow established network and security protocolsand provide feedback to improve themImmediately report any potential threats or security concerns to senior staffCollaborate with vendors and senior team members to troubleshoot issues or source new equipmentStay up to date with new technologies and best practices, both independently and with guidance from senior staffEnsure customer satisfaction at every step, especially in fast-paced settingsGather information, diagnose issues, conduct research, and confirm service resolution directly with customersRecognize when issues require escalation or referral to another team member and act accordinglyShare customer feedback and suggestions with internal teams to drive improvementProactively identify and recommend improvements to our procedures and processesInterested!?
