American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with a DC license, trauma experience, and required certifications to join a fast-paced hospital team.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital Emergency Department providing care to a wide variety of patient types including trauma, pediatric, psychiatric, urgent care, and critical care casesNight shift position working three 12-hour shifts per week26-week contract assignmentTravelers must be willing and able to work in the trauma room as bedside trauma RNExpected patient ratio is 1 : 5Experience with Cerner EMR is requiredResponsibilities include managing critical care skills such as medication titrations, arterial lines, mass blood transfusions, and chest tube careExpected to coordinate and deliver care for patients with complex nursing needs to ensure safety and high quality outcomesNo prior permanent employment with the facility allowedReferences from recent managers or supervisors may be required for considerationCOVID and flu vaccination documentation may be requiredMust be able to start within 2 weeks of offer\n \n Requirements\n
Active DC RN license required at the time of considerationMinimum of 3 years of recent ER experience requiredMust be a graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved nursing programBSN highly preferredCertifications required : NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, and ACLS (AHA only)CPI certification is mandated for the positionCerner EMR experience requiredMust have at least two years of prior experience in a US hospital in the assigned specialtyMust reside at least 25 miles away from the facility\n Benefits\n
