Are you detail-driven and ready to take the next step in your accounting career? Our client is hiring an Accounting Assistant / Accounting Clerk! This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in Accounts Payable and a desire to grow within a supportive finance team.

Salary : $41,600-$52,000; $20-25 / hr. + bonus!

Accounting Assistant Qualifications :

Applicants must have either :

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or
  • At least 1 year of hands-on accounting experience with exposure to one or more of the following :
  • General Ledger
  • GAAP
  • Audit support
  • Accounts Payable / Receivable
  • Payroll

    • Accounting Assistant Responsibilities :

  • Process and code vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Manage purchase orders, payment schedules, and vendor statements.
  • Reconcile AP sub-ledger to the general ledger.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal teams.
  • Assist with month-end close related to payables.
  • Support additional accounting tasks, such as AR, payroll entry, or audit prep, as needed.
  • Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
