What You'll Do

  • Leads manufacturing production to ensure a quality product is produced safely, in time for delivery, and within budgeted costs.
  • Drives ongoing Lean methodologies to ensure continuous improvement of performance, safety, and quality.
  • Responsible for safety of operators reporting to him / her as well as any individual in his work area.
  • Responsible for product quality and adheres to processes and methods. Collaborates with CIM to ensure product quality standards are met or exceeded.
  • Delivers outstanding performance in terms of (1) On time delivery (>

95%), and (2) efficiency (>

100%) by leading work groups and support personnel through problem solving processes and coordinating with supply chain partners.

  • Holds daily production meetings and sets expectations for the day.
  • Coordinates with office staff to provide information on schedule delivery and product status. Maintains information for daily management reports and prepares various other reports as requested.
  • Ensures cost effectiveness of the production process. Controls use of raw materials, prevents waste, and schedules and controls utilization of labor, downtime and overtime.
  • Implements and maintains lean processes, problem solving, Kaizen and other quality processes with support personnel.
  • Escalates issues quickly when needed to maintain performance, quality and safety standards.
  • Leads and motivates work teams, develops knowledge and ability, and meets training and development objectives for all team members under their care.

  • What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business or technical field and 3-5 years of leadership experience in a high-mix, complex manufacturing environment.
  • Or : Associate degree, Engineering / technical focus and 5-15 years leadership experience with clear career progression.
