Data Test Engineer(Sdet) (Burbank)

We are seeking a Sr. Software Development in Test Engineer to join our Engineering Services, Enabling Technologies BI / Reporting team to build test automation and processes to ensure the quality of our advertising systems. Defects in our reports can negatively impact film production, revenue and deliver data / visuals that detract from the stakeholder experience due to irrelevance, incorrect data and poor decision-making.

Team Overview : Enabling Technologies. Product : Empower App, serves roughly 400-500 end users, many of which are c-suite and high-level business / studio production stakeholders. 120+ data visuals, 20+ data sources (various file types), pulling data from systems such as SAP, SmartSheet, Jira, SysAid, VFX SaaS, financial production systems.

Responsibilities include :

• Work closely with Software Engineers to understand the complex advertising ecosystem in place within Enabling Technology.
• Develop automated test frameworks and suites on UI, backend API and Integration levels of testing using python or other OO language.
• Participate in design discussions for our platform to help evolve the platform in a way that enables richer testing scenarios that simplify defect detection and prevention.
• Assist with triage, diagnosis, and resolution of issues discovered across teams.
• Contribute to end-to-end acceptance tests
• Where necessary, develop and execute manual test cases to detect issues that cannot be detected through automated means
• Drive the conversion of manual tests to automated whenever possible
