The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office is seeking experienced law enforcement professionals, including retired officers, for Reserve Bailiff and Reserve Airport Deputy positions. Serve up to 960 hours per fiscal year with flexible scheduling.
Perform duties in a Bailiff or Airport Deputy role, providing critical support to permanent staff.

The ideal candidate is someone with prior law enforcement experience who is committed to ensuring the safety and security of our judicial system and community and who possesses an active POST certificate. The minimum qualifications are as follows :
Graduation from high school or possession of a General Education Development (GED) Certificate indicating high school graduation level or its equivalent as determined by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training. Proof of minimum educational requirement may be required.
A valid driver's license is required at the time of application. A valid California driver's license is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment. Successful completion of a Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certified, regular basic course and active POST certification is required prior to appointment.
