WE OFFER :

  • Compensation :   $62,000 / annually, fixed rate.
  • Work Environment :    On-site for the first 90 days, then transitions to a hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

  • Work Schedule : Flexible schedule — employees can start anytime between 7 : 00 a.m. and 8 : 30 a.m. and work eight hours from their start time, with the option of a 30-minute or 1-hour lunch break.

Job Description

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to oversee our organization’s cash management operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all banking, cash flow, and accounting processes. The ideal candidate will take ownership of daily cash transactions, bank reconciliations, and month-end close activities while collaborating with the Controller and other departments to maintain strong financial integrity.

WHAT YOU WILL DO :

  • Manage daily cash balances and ensure all accounts are properly funded.
  • Process ACHs, EFTs, wires, and account transfers as needed.
  • Perform fraud monitoring and follow up on discrepancies.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate cash records.
  • Track and report on revolving credit lines, loans, and related transactions.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Support month-end close, budgeting, and financial statement preparation.
  • Assist with audits and respond to requests from external agencies
  • Collaborate with other accounting staff and support departmental projects.
  • Qualifications

    MUST HAVE :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or Associate’s + 2 years experience)
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills, including Vlookup, Sumif functions, and pivot tables
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, organization, and communication skills
  • Must possess sound decision-making skills and exercise independent judgment
  • Strong 10-Key skills
  • NICE TO HAVE :

  • Experience with ERP systems like  Workday
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like Microsoft Dynamics GP, Peachtree / Sage, Solomon and Management Reporter and Host Analytics
