About the Role
A leading General Contractor in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high-profile ground-up and interior construction projects. This role is perfect for a strategic, hands-on leader who thrives managing complex construction operations, from foundation and superstructure to high-end interior fit-outs.
You will be the key driver of project success, responsible for schedules, budgets, quality, and stakeholder relationships — ensuring projects exceed expectations while mentoring and leading project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all project staff, including Superintendents, fostering collaboration and high performance.
- Oversee both ground-up developments and interior build-outs, ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, and quality goals.
- Manage project documentation : contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and close-out packages.
- Conduct regular meetings with owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors to track progress and proactively resolve issues.
- Review and approve subcontractor / vendor invoices, negotiate changes, and support timely client billing.
- Collaborate with preconstruction and estimating teams on budgeting, bidding, and value engineering.
- Ensure compliance with NYC building codes, safety regulations, and Local Laws.
- Drive execution from demolition through project completion for both structural and complex interior projects.
Qualifications
8+ years of commercial general contractor project management experience, including ground-up and interior projects (core & shell, base building, high-end interiors).Experience with corporate, commercial, institutional, or educational projects is highly desirable.Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience.Proven track record delivering large-scale structural projects and fast-paced interior renovations.Strong leadership skills with experience managing site Superintendents and project teams.Proficiency with project management software (Procore, MS Project, Microsoft Office Suite).Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.NYC Local Law 196 SST Supervisor Card (62 Hours) required.Why Join
