We are seeking a skilled TV React Developer to join a dynamic team focused on delivering exceptional streaming experiences on Roku devices. In this role, you will help build, maintain, and optimize the TV app, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for millions of viewers. You will collaborate closely with product, UX, and engineering teams to implement new features, run experiments, and iterate quickly on innovative solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about quality code, modern UI development, and creating delightful viewing experiences.

Accountabilities

Design, develop, and maintain the Roku TV app, ensuring high performance and reliability across devices.

Implement new features and enhancements using BrightScript, SceneGraph, and React-like component libraries.

Collaborate with product and UX teams to translate designs into seamless, user-friendly interfaces.

Run experiments and analyze results to optimize the user experience and engagement.

Contribute to the continuous integration pipeline with automated unit tests and quality assurance practices.

Participate in code reviews, mentorship, and knowledge sharing within the development team.

Support cross-platform initiatives, including interoperability with other connected TV devices and APIs.

Qualifications

2+ years of Roku development experience, including proficiency with SceneGraph and Roku APIs.

4+ years of frontend or UI development experience.

Strong understanding of React and Redux concepts.

Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.

Familiarity with the Roku ecosystem, device capabilities, and best practices.

Experience building high-quality, scalable TV or streaming apps.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and passion for creating excellent user experiences.

Nice-to-have : experience with GraphQL APIs, video playback, cross-device interoperability (e.g., casting), or other 10-foot platforms such as Samsung, LG Smart TVs, FireTV, Android TV, or Apple TV.

Annual salary : $135,000$190,000 depending on experience and location.
