Associate Behavioral Health Clinician (AMFT)
Overview :
Our client is seeking an Associate Behavioral Health Clinician (AMFT) to join its integrated care team within the Free Clinics program. This individual will provide mental health services to underserved community members under the supervision of the Associate Director of Behavioral Health Care. This is an ideal role for an empathetic and bilingual professional early in their clinical career who thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven setting.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct mental health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning for clinic patients.
- Provide brief therapy interventions using evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, ACT, MI)
- Coordinate care and referrals for clients needing additional mental health or social services.
- Collaborate with the primary care and psychiatric teams to ensure integrated treatment approaches.
- Track and document patient progress and outcomes, maintaining compliance with BBS and agency standards.
- Participate in supervision sessions and case consultations.
- Assist in program evaluation, quality improvement, and data collection for reporting.
- Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards while delivering compassionate care.
- Some evening flexibility may be required to meet client needs.
Qualifications :
Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, or related field.Registered as an AMFT with the California BBS; must maintain good standing.Minimum 1 year of experience providing mental health counseling or case management.Bilingual in English / Spanish strongly preferred.Familiarity with underserved and diverse populations, particularly those experiencing trauma or co-occurring health conditions.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.Valid driver’s license and insurance required.Compensation :
$75,000 annual salary with comprehensive benefits.
