Washington, DC Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Washington, DC 20010 (prime location for DC healthcare jobs) Facility Setting : Main Operating Room – General Surgery Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Contract Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 10 / 2025 – End : 2 / 9 / 2026) Shift : Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts per week (11 : 00 AM – 11 : 30 PM) Total Hours : 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Salary : $1990 - $2130 On-Call Requirement : 6 calls per 6-week schedule Weekend Shifts : 1 weekend shift per 6-week schedule Patient Population : Adult and Geriatric surgical patients Flu Vaccine : Mandatory (no exemptions) OR RN Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room Registered Nurse experience in a hospital setting Active DC RN license (pending accepted at submission; must be active before start date) BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification required ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred Proficiency in general OR procedures, bariatric surgery, ENT, neurology, orthopedic, and urology cases Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed Two recent supervisor references required Proof of flu vaccination required prior to start Key Responsibilities for Operating Room RN Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative nursing care to surgical patients Assist in a variety of surgical procedures including total joints, spine surgeries, craniotomies, free flaps, cytoreduction, bariatric surgeries, and ENT / OMF cases Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, lift, radiology, pharmacy, interpretation services) Float to other clinical units as required by hospital needs Participate in on-call rotation and scheduled weekend shifts Maintain compliance with hospital policies and vaccination requirements Take your next step in travel nursing and experience the excitement of Washington, DC healthcare.
