Business Litigation Associate Attorney

A well-established law firm in Greenville, SC, is looking to add a dynamic associate to its business litigation practice. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated attorney seeking hands-on experience in complex civil matters while working in a collaborative and forward-thinking legal environment. The role involves representing a diverse client base in business-related disputes and navigating cases from inception through resolution.

Duties :

Handle commercial litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and legal memoranda

Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitration, and mediations

Assist in case strategy development and trial preparation

Manage caseloads with attention to detail and efficiency

Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions

Conduct legal research and provide case assessments

Requirements :

1 to 3 years of civil litigation experience

Demonstrated ability to manage litigation files independently or with minimal supervision

Strong analytical and advocacy skills

Licensed and in good standing with the South Carolina Bar, or eligible for reciprocity

Education :

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications :

Active South Carolina Bar license (or pending / eligible through reciprocity)

Skills :

Excellent legal writing and oral communication skills

Strong organizational and time management abilities

Proficiency in legal research tools and litigation software

Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a team environment

Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal communication skills
