Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of manufacturing equipment in the foundry and metal production environment. This role involves conducting regular maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and performing repairs to minimize downtime and maintain efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery and equipment in the foundry and metal manufacturing areas.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to ensure continuous production.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
  • Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve equipment-related issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance activities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably in foundry or metal manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
