Talent Selection & Recruitment Specialist
The Talent Selection & Recruitment Specialist ensures that United Bank has a presence in the business community by pro-actively interacting with internal and external sources. This individual is responsible for marketing United to the community to recruit top and key talent. This position will primarily be focused on recruitment of the Retail Banking line of business and may assist in the recruitment of entry to mid-level positions within other lines of business throughout the organization. Manage the full-cycle recruiting activities for positions in an assigned territory or line of business to include sourcing, screening, interviewing, developing a compensation package, closes candidates and provides a high touching on-boarding experience.

- Recommend and implements recruiting plans that will capture and retain top talent

Pro-actively consults with hiring managers on initiatives related to recruitment and staffingAssess staffing needs, recommend, and implement recruiting plans in an effort to fill vacancies and anticipate turnoverRecruit, conduct resume and applicant screening, schedule and perform interviews, make hiring decision, or use judgment to make recommendations to management for assigned territoryMakes recommendations to hiring managers on compensation for employment offers within the internal compensation structureNegotiate offers with candidates; negotiate applicant start date and schedule new hire orientation; extend selected applicant employment offer providing all pre-employment information (i.e. offer letter, credit and background investigation, etc.)Follow up with Hiring Manager on interviews, evaluation forms and hiring decisionsAssist in ensuring the new employee receives a positive onboarding experienceUse standard and creative methods to recruit candidates, including but not limited to : internet searches, advertising, internal and external career fairs, sourcing; direct recruiting, networking events, etc.Collaborate with the Compensation area to ensure job descriptions are currentMaintain and update the applicant tracking files and databases as appropriate per the internal processEnsure the Bank files and paperwork are completed accurately and in compliance with labor laws requirementsEnsure compliance with established policies and procedures, as well as local, state and federal laws and guidelinesMaintain relationships with existing and prospective candidates to develop a pipelinePrepare weekly staffing reportsEnter Employment Commission job openings on monthly basisManage internal job posting communicationsManage temporary employee requests, placement and assignment termsParticipate in staff meetings and HR related policy revision or implementationRefer behavioral and performance related issues to the HR ManagerAnalyze turnover and create reports as needed for managementAssist in the management of agency referrals and relationshipsParticipate in recruiting-related projects and generalist duties as assignedQualifications
Bachelor’s degree required or two (2) years of prior direct working experience in the recruitment / talent acquisition area may be substitutedMinimum two years of experience working in professional office environment is required, banking experience is a plus.Demonstrated experience in passive solicitation techniques requiredStrong networking skillsAbility to prioritize on a consistent basis in a fast paced rapidly changing environment.Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationshipsProven ability to partner with local business community to successfully achieve recruiting resultsEffective in prioritizing and multi-taskingExcellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skillsGood planning and organizational skills necessary to achieve goals and to increase efficiency.Adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to maintain effectiveness during changeComputer literacy to include, Microsoft Office is requiredAbility to work effectively in a team environmentKnowledge of State and Federal laws, rules and regulations on Affirmative Action programsKnowledge and understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity standards and practicesAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writing with internal and external clients.Ability to travel up to 50%, with some travel requiring overnight stay is requiredKEY COMPETENCIES :
