• Work hours : Full Time, 36 / hrs, (3)12hr shifts, 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM\n

• Associates Degree Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Completion of BSN within two years of earliest start date in a Texas Health RN role is required without a previously approved exemption). (required)\n
• Bachelors Degree Nursing (preferred)\n
• Med-Surg Tele expereince (highly preferred)\n
• Float pool expereince (preferred)\n
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required) And\n
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (Required) Or,\n
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support 60 days (required)\n
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 30 days of hire (required)\n
• Position Responsibilities : The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs by demonstrating : \n
• Knowledge of human development across the life span\n
• Knowledge of pain and suffering, pain interventions and pain comfort / theories.\n
• Provides safe patient care as evidenced by : \n
• Using barcode medication verification (BMV) during medication administrations\n
• Completing accurate documentation in the electronic health record\n
• Completing assessments accurately and in a timely manner\n
• Individualizing care plans specific to the needs of the patient\n
• Providing consistent attention to airway, intake, elimination, sleep, rest, mobility and hygiene needs. Attention to emotional, social, and self-esteem needs\n
• Regular assessment and maintenance of comfort\n
• Knowledge of basic physiology and pathophysiology\n
• Knowledge of human emotions during health and illness\n
