Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position with night shifts requiring pediatrics experience and PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a Med / Surg Tele unit with adult and pediatric patients aged 6 years and up
  • Night schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1 : 6 to 1 : 8
  • Travelers may be required to float to different units as needed
  • Uses EPIC for electronic documentation
  • Care includes O2 protocol management, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care, and isolation precautions
  • Care responsibilities include activating the rapid response team as needed
  • Return staff must wait 2 years before they can travel again through this system
  • Modules are completed during orientation and annually, tracked via DevelopYou transcripts
  • First time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Work environment requires adherence to isolation precautions and PPE guidelines
  • Background restrictions may be considered with an explanation

  • Active KY or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
  • Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, and PALS required upon hire
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med / Surg Tele with pediatric care for patients aged 6 and above
  • Experience with computerized documentation and EPIC required
  • Must provide two professional references for consideration
  • Applicants must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for traveler status
