Role Description

We are seeking a Nutrition Science Advisor to help advance the science that powers GreenChoice's Food GreenScore and dietary attribute system. This role is ideal for an experienced nutrition scientist or retail dietitian leader who is confident in applying research to rule-based scoring systems, making evidence-based decisions, and producing concise outputs that can be implemented by our engineering team and communicated to retailers.

Responsibilities

• Lead updates to our scoring algorithms (nutrition, processing, safety) based on the latest Dietary Guidelines, peer-reviewed research, and regulatory standards.
• Define new attributes (e.g., "Heart Healthy") including criteria, thresholds, and citations.
• Evaluate and critique existing scoring systems (e.g., Food Compass, Nutri-Score, Health Star Rating, OptUP) and help articulate GreenChoice's differentiation.
• Produce concise, implementation-ready documentation (criteria, thresholds, rules, citations) for engineers and customer-facing materials.
• Collaborate with the Science Advisory Board and Lead Data Scientist while also working independently and decisively.
