Accounting Clerk
This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Sheppard Inn Lodging as an Accounting Clerk. Responsibilities include providing general office and financial support to lodging management, performing various management support functions, preparing general correspondence and budget submissions, processing purchase orders and receiving reports, monitoring current projects, preparing lodging time records for payroll processing, assisting with payroll discrepancies, and tracking labor hours to ensure compliance with Air Force Guidance. The position also involves approving Nonappropriated Fund Government Purchase Card (NAF GPC) / Purchase Card (P-Card) Program, reviewing night audit reports, resolving out-of-balance accounts, working with Guest Service Representatives to fix posting errors, collecting fees, answering Guest Folio phone inquiries, conducting research to assist in balancing accounts receivable, preparing monthly surcharge calculations, processing daily credit card deposits, reviewing NAF Transformation (NAF-T) reports, controlling petty cash fund, assisting with records custodian duties, serving as back-up administrator for the lodging automated data system, adding, deleting, or updating user codes, updating contract-lodging codes, updating rates, adding or changing transaction codes, coordinating room code changes, verifying back-ups of database, assisting in overseeing lodging awards program, and acting as a commercial hotel liaison.
Qualifications include knowledge of property management systems, operation of word processing and accounts receivable programs, account relationships, reading and interpreting technical procedures, writing reports, computer proficiency, presenting information, basic math skills, applying common sense, reading, speaking, and writing English, budgeting processes, and satisfactory completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). Experience must include knowledge of the property management system, operation of word processing and accounts receivable programs, account relationships, reading and interpreting technical procedures, writing reports, computer proficiency, presenting information, basic math skills, applying common sense, reading, speaking, and writing English, budgeting processes, and satisfactory completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
