Material Handler
Material Handler position is responsible to maintain raw materials for manufacturing via Kanban and SAP ERP system. Person will require to work with Production, Quality Control, Warehouse and any other department as deemed necessary. Work closely with Purchasing to ensure product is orders and delivery dates are met. Always ensure accuracy of inventory by performing Cycle Counts and following the Kanban methodology.
Accountabilities
- Identify, label, pull parts and move to the correct manufacturing production cell and Kaban bins.
- Perform SAP transactions pertaining to material control requirements.
- Analyze and recommend solutions to material control and Kaban flow process challenges.
- Train new employees as requirements
- Help maintain positive work environment, collaborate well with others.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels by following the Kanban process, conducting routing cycle counts, and utilizing ERP system to review accurate MRP settings.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by practicing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), complying with procedures, rules and regulations; following 5S disciplines.
- Regular Attendance Required
- Assist in resolving an incoming material at warehouse and Quality Control.
- Assist in Annual Physical Inventory events.
- Review & Maintain Kanban Quantities
- Assist on disposition for excess & obsolescence materials.
- Maintain Inbound Receiving and QC Priority List for Plant 0090 Receipts
- Receive Raw material inbound
- Stage Matryoshka Carton
- Organizing the Warehouse Pallets
- Replenish Legacy Transfer Boxes
- Refill all Kanban Bins
- Replenish M1 Transportation Sterile boxes
- Verify the Kanban board for any past due delivery and verify SAP. Follow up with Vendor and Transporation for status. Update SAP as needed.
- Incorporate Safety, Quality in all responsibilities, and be collaborative
- Prepare orders for outside warehouse (AIT)
Job Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Critical Knowledge and Qualifications : High School Diploma with approximately 3 years with Supply Chain, Purchasing or Planning; or Associate's degree with 1 years of professional experience.
Critical Skills / Technical Know-how :
Must be able to successfully change attention of work from one assignment to anotherModerate computer skills - understands and has experience using Microsoft office software in a professional setting.Ability and focus to learn various functions within the Planning Department.Critical Experience : Experience utilizing SAP, or similar MRP (Manufacturing resource planning) software
