The position involves inpatient care with procedures such as C-section and vaginal deliveries in a well-equipped hospital setting. Interested candidates will receive assistance with credentialing, and travel and accommodation costs are covered.

The locum tenens OBGYN opportunity in North Carolina

  • Duration : January 2019- On-going (90+ days, will consider extension and / or permanent conversion)
  • Shift : Thursday 7PM until Monday 7AM

Details :

  • Call, Nights & Weekends (flexible hours )
  • Inpatient only
  • Call Shared with providers
  • Not required to remain on-site during call, must respond within 30 minutes
  • Total inpatient census / day : 6 with 2-3 OB checks / day
  • No ICU / Critical Care Procedures
  • Do Not Run Codes
  • BLS & NRP Required
  • Procedures include : C-section, circumcision, pp tubals, vaginal deliveries, D&C & laparotomy for ectopic pregnancy
  • 3 labor rooms, 16 patient rooms & 6 NBN beds

  • Medical ICU
  • Level 1 Nursery
  • GE Centricity Centralized Fetal Monitoring
  • Latest Stryker Towers for laparoscopic procedures
  • 24 / 7 on-call anesthesiology and radiology support
  • 24-hr Surgical Services available
  • Ortho available 4 days / week
  • Cardiology, on site 5 days / week
  • Critical Care via telemedicine
  • Psychiatry available
  • 24 / 7 Hospitalist programs (Med-Peds)
