Key Job Details - Bismarck Nursing Jobs Location : Bismarck, North Dakota 58501 Assignment Length : 13 weeks (10 / 27 / 2025 - 1 / 26 / 2026) Healthcare Setting : Acute Care, Level II Trauma Center Unit : Labor & Delivery (L&D), Postpartum, Gynecology Shift : 12-hour nights (straight nights); occasional day shifts as needed Schedule : 36 guaranteed hours / week; every other weekend and holiday required Orientation : 36 hours for travel nurses Dress Code : Navy blue scrubs for Gyn and Mom / Baby; hospital-provided scrubs for L&D Estimated Weekly Salary : $2240 - $2400 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (Registered Nurse) Minimum 3 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Gynecology nursing Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP (STABLE preferred) Proficient in fetal monitoring and care for high-risk L&D patients Ability to float to Newborn Nursery and NICU as needed Experience with EPIC and OBIX healthcare documentation systems preferred Must reside outside an 80-mile radius of Bismarck, ND L&D RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients, including high-risk cases Provide postpartum care for mothers and newborns, and post-operative care for Gyn patients Monitor and interpret fetal heart tracings and vital signs Operate equipment such as fetal monitors, suction, oxygen, and centralized monitoring systems Float to Newborn Nursery and NICU as needed Accurately document patient care using EPIC and OBIX systems Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including timekeeping and dress code Enjoy working in a modern 19-bed unit with excellent nurse-to-patient ratios (1 : 1 or 1 : 2 for L&D, 1 : 3 for mom / baby couplets) and a robust orientation program.
