This role leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Management Lead, develop and provide leadership and guidance to the Quality team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability for quality at all levels. Participate in production planning meetings to understand and provide any assistance / information required by the departments. Participate in pre-production planning on all new parts and engineering changes. Oversee the maintenance of departmental and management level scorecards. Work closely with engineering, operations, and production teams to implement corrective actions. Provide quality-related training to employees at all levels to ensure awareness and competence in quality standards, tools, and processes. Participation in weekly management team meetings. Quality Systems & Standards Oversee adherence to IATF quality standards, policies, and procedures by all company personnel. Incorporate procedures in the WCS quality control manual, and maintain, update and revise manual as necessary. Ensure compliance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (USMCA, IMDS, Conflict Minerals, CQI standards, etc.) as well as customer-specific requirements Conduct and / or facilitate internal and external audits; manage corrective and preventive actions. Oversee risk management activities including PFMEA reviews, control plan updates, and risk-based audits including QMS audits, product audits and layered process audits C ustomer & Supplier Focus Serve as the primary contact for customer quality concerns, audits, and certifications. Investigate and resolve customer complaints and warranty issues. Oversee maintenance of supplier performance database and assign supplier rating with respect to quality. Develop and manage supplier quality requirements, conduct supplier audits, and ensure ongoing supplier compliance with WCS and customer standards as needed. Continuous Improvement Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives. Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects to reduce scrap, rework, and warranty claims. Drive process improvements to enhance product consistency and reduce variability. Documentation & Reporting Maintain quality documentation, control plans, PPAPs, and related records. Provide regular quality performance reports to management. Support new product development with quality planning and validation activities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field preferred. (Significant experience in lieu of degree will be considered). 5+ years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of ISO, IATF, or other industry-specific quality standards. Proficient in quality tools and methodologies (SPC, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Six Sigma, Lean). Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with ERP / MRP systems and quality software preferred. Working knowledge of Power BI, SharePoint, Power Automate a plus. Competencies Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change. Customer-oriented mindset with strong conflict resolution abilities.
