  • Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 09 / 23 / 2025 – End : 12 / 23 / 2025)\n
  • Shift : 12-hour night shifts (19 : 00–07 : 00)\n
  • Hours per Week : 36\n
  • Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per schedule\n
  • Dress Code : Navy blue scrubs\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1470-$1570\n

    Registered Nurse Qualifications

    \n

    \n

  • Active Texas RN license (Registered Nurse)\n
  • ACLS certification required\n
  • Telemetry competency\n
  • Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, Telemetry, or acute care nursing experience\n
  • Ability to work collaboratively with LVNs, nursing students, and healthcare teams\n
  • Cardiac care experience preferred (CABG, Heart Cath with PCI, pacemakers, CHF, chest pain, valve procedures)\n
  • Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and flexibility\n

    PCU Nurse Responsibilities

    \n

  • Deliver direct patient care in a 35-bed cardiovascular progressive care unit\n
  • Monitor and manage patients requiring cardiac drips and BIPAP support\n
  • Document patient care using Meditech EMR\n
  • Collaborate with RNs, LVNs, techs, and unit clerks in a multidisciplinary healthcare team\n
  • Maintain safe patient ratios (1 : 4 or 1 : 5)\n
  • Float to PCU, Medical-Surgical, and Telemetry units as needed\n
  • Participate in cardiac procedures : CABG, Heart Cath with PCI, watchman, pacemakers, CHF, chest pain, valve procedures\n
  • Follow unit guidelines and hospital policies\n
