This position reports to the Head of Engineering or their designee and is located outside of Nashville, TN. Collaborates in the planning, design, and execution of projects to create innovative mobile medical clinics.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and mentor a team of designers to develop innovative and functional designs for mobile medical clinics.

Manage multiple design projects from concept to completion, ensuring they align with Odulair's standards and timelines.

Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project management teams to ensure seamless execution of designs.

Review and approve technical drawings, renderings, and design documentation for accuracy and compliance.

Conduct regular design reviews and provide feedback to improve efficiency and quality.

Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate best practices into design strategies.

Prepare and present design concepts and progress reports to senior management.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards throughout the design process.

Maintain accurate records of design revisions and project documentation.

Other duties as assigned by the Head of Engineering or their designee.

Education and Work Experience :

Master’s or Doctorate degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field required.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Proven proficiency in CAD software (Revit, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and design tools (Adobe Creative Suite).

Specialized Knowledge and Skills :

Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team.

Expertise in creating efficient space planning in extremely small spaces.

Expertise in technical drawing, 3D modeling, and design for manufacturing.

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes relevant to mobile clinics.

Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

A can-do, positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential.

Equipment and Applications :

Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Workspace.

Familiarity with ERP systems and project management tools is a plus.

Work Environment Physical Demands :

Ability to work in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment while maintaining a methodical approach.

Primarily office-based with occasional visits to the production floor for inspections and design validations.

Compliance with Odulair's Health and Safety Policy and all relevant safety regulations is mandatory.

Odulair conducts regular drug and alcohol testing as required by the Department of Transportation (DOT).
