Join an exciting project as a children’s book illustrator, working remotely to bring engaging stories to life for young readers. This opportunity is ideal for creative professionals with a passion for children’s literature and a strong portfolio of previous work in the field.

You will collaborate closely with a publishing team to develop illustrations that capture the imagination and support the narrative of an upcoming title. The project is currently in the planning and research phase, and your artistic vision will play a key role in shaping the final product.

Responsibilities

  • Create original, high-quality illustrations tailored for children’s books
  • Collaborate with the publishing team to interpret story concepts and characters visually
  • Develop initial sketches, character designs, and full-color spreads as required
  • Revise artwork based on feedback to ensure alignment with the project’s vision
  • Deliver final artwork in digital formats suitable for print and e-book publication
  • Manage project timelines to meet agreed-upon deadlines

Skills and Requirements

  • Proven experience as a children’s book illustrator with a strong, relevant portfolio
  • Proficiency in digital illustration tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Procreate
  • Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate artwork that appeals to children
  • Strong communication skills and openness to feedback throughout the creative process
  • Excellent time management and ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Availability to commit to a project lasting more than one week
