Tractor Trailer Driver Opportunity
Casual Tractor Trailer Drivers are part of a strong, national team and play a key role in our operations. They drive a tractor trailer from one UPS location to another—or to a customer on an established route—before returning to their original location.
UPS Casual Tractor Trailer Drivers must possess specific skills and qualifications to perform this critical function :
Valid Class A CDL License : Hold a valid commercial drivers license in your home state, with the option to obtain a doubles / triples endorsement depending on your location.
DOT Physical : Pass a Department of Transportation physical examination.
Reliability and Responsibility : Demonstrate reliability and responsibility in driving duties.
Love of Truck Driving : Enjoy the challenges and rewards of truck driving.
Legal Right to Work : Possess a legal right to work in the United States.
Additionally, drivers are expected to comply with UPS appearance guidelines and wear company-provided uniforms.
This is a seasonal role with opportunities for growth and development. Seasonal drivers may transition to permanent roles, which offer comprehensive benefits packages, including competitive pay, reliable schedules, and well-maintained trucks.
The average total compensation package for permanent, full-time delivery drivers is $145,000 per year, consisting of $0 healthcare premiums, up to seven weeks of paid vacation, and paid time off for holidays, sick leave, and option days. UPS also contributes to a defined-benefit pension plan for each employee.
