We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Land Use Attorney to join our legal team. This is an incredible opportunity for a talented attorney to apply their expertise in municipal utility districts (MUD), land use, and real estate law.
Responsibilities
Advise clients on matters related to land use, zoning, and environmental issues, including the acquisition, leasing, and sale of real property.Represent clients before governmental agencies and bodies, planning commissions, and courts on land use matters.Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for real estate transactions and advise clients accordingly.Prepare legal documents, including briefs, contracts, and real estate closing statements.Manage and oversee all aspects of a transaction, from the initial client meeting to the final closing.Review, draft, and negotiate various types of real estate agreements, including leases, purchase and sale agreements, and land use documents.Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles to assist with the preparation of reports, legal opinions, and briefs.Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with regular updates and excellent service.Qualifications
Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.Admitted to practice law in the state and in good standing with the state bar.Minimum 2 years of experience as a Land Use Attorney, with a focus on MUD, land use, and real estate law.Proven track record of representing clients in complex land use and real estate matters.Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to clients, governmental entities, and other members of the legal team.Strong research skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to handle large amounts of complex information.High level of professionalism and confidentiality.Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software.Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
