Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with an active TX or compact license, BLS certification, and at least two years of experience for a hospital-based operating room in Plano, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Hospital setting working in the Operating Room (OR)
  • Specializes in Neuro, Plastics, Oncology, GYN, Colorectal, and Urology cases
  • Day shifts available as 4x10s or 5x8s, Monday through Friday
  • 2-3 days of on-call required, with possible weekend on-call
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Blue scrubs provided by the facility
  • Deliver patient-centered care using established nursing processes and protocols
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized plans of care
  • Participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives
  • Blue scrubs must be worn and are provided
  • Returning employees must verify rehire eligibility prior to assignment
  • Virtual interview process with one round

    • Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
  • Operating room experience required
  • Experience in Neuro, Plastics, Oncology, GYN, Colorectal, or Urology a strong plus
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Flu shot required with no exemptions during flu season (August-November)
  • Two professional references required
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
  • No local travelers accepted
